On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the city link between Alkmaar and Bath, the Bath-Alkmaar Twinning Association (BATA) organizes an Alkmaar Week from 7 to 11 July. During this week, Mayor Anja Schouten and a delegation from the Alkmaars Exchange Committee will visit Bath to take part in the festivities.

The chairman of Bata Chris Davies has been invited to give a lecture on the history of the special bond between Bath and Alkmaar during the Alkmaar Week on Thursday 10 July. Hij zal dat doen in de Bath Royal Literary and Scientific Institution (BRLSI). The BRLSI wants to offer everyone in Alkmaar (and everyone in the Netherlands) who wants this, the opportunity to follow this lecture for free. The lecture starts on 10 July at 20: 30 (Dutch time).
