Troyes

About Troyes

Troyes is a historic town in the Champagne-Ardennes region, Aube department. Once the scene of glorious battles, now, at the beginning of the 21st century characterized by great prosperity.
Dom Pérignon, a monk who lived in the time of Louis XIV, still leaves an imprint on the well-being and prosperity of the Champagne region. Thanks to his efforts, the vineyards of Champagne have been producing the world's finest wine since the seventeenth century.
In June 1958, the French Troyes wanted to enter into a twinning with Alkmaar. With residents of both cities, lively meetings have been taking place for many years.
